Our spacious living room, complete with a cozy terrace, offers the perfect setting to unwind and enjoy the outdoors. Start your mornings with a delicious breakfast on the terrace, savoring fresh Italian food while taking in the serene surroundings. The terrace is also ideal for lunch and evening meals, allowing you to enjoy the warm summer air while dining al fresco.
The living room is designed with relaxation in mind, featuring a comfortable sofa and a convivial dining table, perfect for spending quality time with family and friends. We’ve ensured that our guests have access to all the usual amenities, but we’ve also added a few special touches to make your stay truly memorable. For coffee lovers, a traditional Caffettiera Napoletana is ready for you to brew the perfect cup of Italian coffee. You’ll also find olive oil, salt, vinegar, coffee, and tea always available in the living room—small details that make a big difference in making you feel at home.

Guests staying in the Grillo Nest Room will find that the bathroom is conveniently located through the Grillo Suite.

Attic Retreat
This unique space is suitable for two people, featuring a sofa that can be configured as two separate beds or combined to create a comfortable double bed. Additionally, there is the option to add a third mattress on the floor if needed, making it a versatile choice for small groups or families. Ideal for travelers looking for flexibility in their accommodation!
The attic features a charming small bathroom with a sink, shower, toilet, and bidet, as well as a cozy kitchenette with a sink, washing machine, stove, and a small refrigerator. I love the peaceful moment of gazing out the window on the roofs and the hills while preparing fresh vegetables.
Accessing the Attic
- While the first and second floors can be rented separately, they are connected by a shared staircase that also leads to the attic.
- This means that guests on the first floor must use the same stairs to access the second floor and the attic.

Minimum Stay & House Rules at CasaDelGrillo
Minimum stay: 3 nights.
We kindly ask our guests not to smoke inside the property.
Parties and events are not allowed during your stay at CasaDelGrillo.
Only the guests registered at check-in are allowed to stay at the property.
Additional Costs at CasaDelGrillo
For groups of 1 to 5 guests, the price includes the stay at the Grillo Terrace Retreat, covering the first two floors. Access to the Grillo Attic Retreat is available for an additional 50 euros per night.
For groups of 6 or 7, the Grillo Attic Retreat is included.
Cleaning Fee: A cleaning fee of €70 is not included in the nightly rate and will be added during the booking process for each stay.
Tourist Tax: Our municipality charges a tourist tax of €1.50 per person per night. We will take care of transferring this fee to the local authorities on your behalf.

Yes, there are free on-site parking for our guests in the little place surrounding the old village ensuring that you can explore the region with ease.
The best time to visit CasaDelGrillo is during the spring and autumn months when the weather is mild, and the region is less crowded. The summer months are perfect if you enjoy the Mediterranean sun and want to explore the beaches.
While we absolutely love animals, we kindly ask that guests refrain from bringing pets to CasaDelGrillo. We strive to create a peaceful environment for all our visitors, and we appreciate your understanding. Thank you for choosing us for your stay!
Currently, we do not offer on-site dining, but our accommodations come with a fully equipped kitchenette. You’ll also find delightful local cafes, restaurants, and markets in Ventimiglia, where you can sample the best Italian and Ligurian cuisine.
At CasaDelGrillo, we strive to accommodate all guests, but due to the property’s unique location in the hills, some areas may not be fully wheelchair accessible. The house is situated in the center of the charming village of Verrandi, and is reachable by walking through the typical carrugi (narrow alleyways) which are uphill. Additionally, the house has several steps and narrow stairs that lead to the three floors, which may not be suitable for those with mobility challenges. Please contact us directly for more detailed information on accessibility, and we will do our best to assist with any special requirements
Check-in & Check-out Policy
Check-in at CasaDelGrillo is available from 5:00 pm onwards, giving you plenty of time to settle in and relax. We kindly ask that guests check out by 10:00 AM on the day of departure. We understand that travel plans can sometimes vary, so we are happy to offer flexibility on check-in and check-out times when possible. Please contact us in advance if you need adjustments, and we will do our best to accommodate you.
Important Note:
Please be aware that there are no supermarkets in our village. We recommend purchasing food and water before your arrival to avoid having to go back later. While the tap water is potable, we personally prefer to buy mineral water for a better taste and convenience. We want to ensure you have everything you need for a comfortable stay, so feel free to contact us if you have any questions or need recommendations for local shops!
